“ The first time I used federated learning in a semi-supervised setting, I had not done any work related to semi-supervised learning with a class imbalance issue before, ” Meirui reveals. “ I’ve gained much knowledge, and with the cooperation of my co- authors, I’ve learned many new settings and techniques. ” Finally, we ask Meirui what it is like to work with Qi Dou. “ It’s very nice to work with Professor Qi because she’s very active and energetic, ” he tells us. “ She will push forward new ideas and make us aware of new techniques daily and how we can best use or learn from them.
