MICCAI 2022 Daily – Tuesday

Good morning MICCAI! Welcome to the second MICCAI Daily of 2022, published by RSIP Vision . Following a fantastic first day full of awesome presentations and posters, the conference is flying high, and the enthusiasm for being together again is palpable. Try not to peak too soon, as there’s so much more to come! The Program Committee is crucial to the organization of MICCAI , responsible for managing the entire review process. We (Linwei and Qi, along with Stefanie Speidel and Tom Fletcher who couldn’t make it to this interview) have been working hard behind the scenes for a long time now, and assisted by the fabulous Kitty Wong , to bring you the best scientific program possible. Despite living on different continents, we met regularly, and all felt the responsibility to deliver something extra special for you. It’s been super busy, but I (Linwei) particularly appreciated how efficient the process was . Every meeting resulted in actions and deadlines, and we finished everything on time. I (Qi) valued the opportunity to serve the community I love and call home . Dedicating my whole energy to this has been a true honor for me. We hope you relish the program! Find the topics and authors that most interest you. With 574 accepted papers , there’s a huge amount of innovation on show. Most posters are available online, so remember you can catch any you miss later. This year, we’re a truly hybrid event , with presenters able to talk live to the in- person audience. Please bear with us as we put this to the test for the first time! However, meeting face to face is something we’ve all sincerely missed, so if you’re in Singapore, be sure to make the most of all the networking opportunities available . Finally, we’d like to highlight tomorrow’s MICCAI 2022 Debate: Is AI Ready for Primetime Adoption in Medical Imaging? We’re all excited about this timely session, and we’ve invited the top experts and leaders in the field to take part and share their insights. Don’t miss it!
