27 DAILY MICCAI Tuesday The best performing teams for this year’s task 1 were from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany (led by Leon Mächler, Rank 1), IBM Research (led by Ambrish Rawat, Rank 2), and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK, led by Meirui Jiang, Rank 3). The CUHK team was also the top performing team for Task 2, followed by a team from the Silesian University of Technology in Poland (led by Jakub Nalepa). Congratulations to all! We hope that our efforts in designing the FeTS challenge will serve as an example for more challenges to follow, offering the quantitative evaluation of algorithms in diverse out-of-sample data and hence mitigate the bias in machine learning and lead to potentially clinically translatable methods with a patient-first focus.
