MICCAI 2021 Daily – Thursday

21 DAILY MICCAI Thursday to announce the formation of the MONAI Stream working group, headed by Tom Vercauteren from King’s College London. This group will support the design, development, and application of MONAI Stream, which has the goal of enabling faster research prototyping for real-time imaging and computer-assisted interventions. If MONAI Streamwill help your work, please reach out via this form. Academia and Industry Adoption We are also happy to announce that NVIDIA, while being a core promoter of project MONAI, has also become the first enterprise to officially adopt MONAI. NVIDIA is integrating MONAI into its expansive Clara Imaging computational platform, providing pre-trained MONAI models for common medical imaging tasks, and contributing significant resources to the continued development and dissemination of MONAI. While MONAI’s Apache 2.0 license makes it free for academic and commercial use, we are pleased to announce that Kitware is also offering software development services to help integrate MONAI into products & processes. See who is adopting MONAI across academic and industry organizations. Conclusion Project MONAI is quickly gaining widespread adoption with more than 120,000 downloads of the core training library and over 750 participants across 58 countries and 539 organizations at the September MONAI bootcamp at MICCAI2021. The tools in MONAI 0.7 are benefiting many users developing and deploying AI models in the medical imaging community. Our focus remains on enhancing the open source core of MONAI, based on feedback from every corner of academia and industry. Reach out to the members of these MONAI working groups with your ideas and feedback to help build MONAI together!
