We are always on the lookout for more area chairs and reviewers, so please consider applying to join us on our next big adventure. Strasbourg itself is a very special place. It is known as one of the capitals of Europe, being the seat of many important European institutions. It shares a land border with Germany, and something we are very excited about is that for the first time, the conference will be held in France, but the gala dinner will take place just across the border in Germany . Strasbourg is an ecologically responsible city with a Greenmayor , many green spaces, and cycling is the most popular form of transport. MICCAI 2021 will be taking full advantage of this green spirit. We will avoid single-use plastics and will redistribute food that would otherwise have been wasted. We are also aiming to offset the carbon footprint of every attendee’s journey. Pierre Jannin has already done this for the CARS conference , so we have a robust model to work from. We will have a strong focus on promoting diversity. I (Caroline) am honored to be only the second female General Chair in the history of MICCAI , and I want us to promote all of the women in our community. MICCAI Daily will support this mission by continuing its tradition of featuring an interview with a brilliant female scientist in every edition, speaking about her life, career, interests, and ambitions. We will also be encouraging and supporting students from lower-income countries to join us and we hope to find the funds to offer travel grants to a far wider variety of participants next year. It just remains to say that we hope you enjoy reading this final issue of MICCAI Daily and that you will keep in touch by subscribing to Computer Vision News.
