3 MedIO 15 Prints: Example 2 : Writing an image results in a flipped image. The array would be okay, but its metadata would not fit what you save and cause a mistake. It is currently not treated in itk, but we do treat it . In this way, you can avoid mistakes when saving data to it.” MedIO was originally developed as an internal tool. With so many people at RSIP Vision working on images and using different packages to read them, people were finding there were lots of clashes between conventions and packages, and they needed to find a way to resolve that. Now, with this stable solution, they feel the time is right to open it up to the community so that everyone can benefit from it . The team are already cooperating with MONAI (by NVIDIA and Kitware ), another open source framework for deep learning in healthcare imaging, who are using some parts of the MedIO GitHub repository for their project. Further collaboration is planned, and MedIO itself continues to be developed, so watch this space ! MedIO is maintained by RSIP Vision and published on our GitHub . It is also available to download from PyPI.org . Example 1 : Reading an image DAILY Tu e s d a y
