Do you ever have any regrets about your career path? No, they are my decisions. I wouldn’t exchange my life with anyone, even if it is not perfect! Careers can sometimes be unpredictable. You sound very happy with your direction. I often receive confirmation that I made the right choice. What does teaching mean to you? I work with PhD students mostly. I try to teach them a lot of different things, from how to approach PhD to how to keep mental balance during difficult times. That is needed, too. Definitely, it’s very important. Then I teach them how to write papers, how to approach the project, and how to manage their time. You traveled around different institutions and learned from different teachers. What is the most powerful lesson that you have learned? You need to adapt to the people with whom you work. You cannot approach all people the same way. That’s maybe the most important. Who taught you that? It’s experience from all the years from how people work together.
