ECCV 2018 Daily - Thursday

Daily Thursday 13 Kyoung Mu, you are one of the General co-Chairs for ICCV 2019 in Seoul, Korea. What can you tell us about next year’s conference? Everybody knows ICCV, it is one of the premier conferences in the computer vision community, and ICCV 2019 will be a great event in terms of the number of attendees, the program, and the cultural and social events. We are now preparing all the details for making it an interesting, successful and memorable event. What will be novel about the conference next year? We will try to maintain the traditions in terms of the program. We have the conventional area chair, reviewer, and double-blind system for submissions. Up to now, it has been a tradition to have a single oral session at the conference, but the number of submissions is increasing rapidly, and we are expecting more presentations next year. As a result, our Program Chairs are considering having two parallel oral sessions. Of course, other conferences do this already, but it is going to be a big change for ICCV. What can you tell us about the location of the conference in Seoul, Korea? ICCV 2019 in Seoul 18 “An interesting, successful and memorable event!”
