Seen on Monday 11 ECCV Daily: Tuesday An image taken on Monday at Theater Tuschinski during the presentation of An Evaluation of Local Feature Detectors and Descriptors for Infrared Images , featured in the Local Features: State of the Art, Open Problems and Performance Evaluation workshop. According to Karol Lenc , one of the other speakers at the workshop, it was a nice surprise that one of these 'old-school' computer vision sub-areas attracted so much attention. Karel presented a new homograpy-based patch dataset , which is useful to evaluate local feature descriptor performance on multiple computer vision tasks.
