Computer Vision News Computer Vision News 46 Workshop by Amelia Jiménez-Sánchez Our recent workshop, “In the Picture: Medical Imaging Datasets,”brought together experts and enthusiasts to tackle the multifaceted challenges of medical imaging datasets. Over the course of two days, this workshop, part of the “Making MetaDataCount” project, served as a platform for sharing knowledge, addressing key issues, and fostering collaboration in this crucial field. This workshop was organized by Veronika Cheplygina and Amelia Jiménez-Sánchez (IT University of Copenhagen), together with Enzo Ferrante (CONICET and University of Buenos Aires), Judy Wawira Gichoya (Emory University), and Leo Joskowicz (Hebrew University of Jerusalem). The development of medical image analysis applications for clinical use involves the complex processes of collecting, curating, and annotating medical images and patient records, posing unique challenges but also exciting opportunities for innovation.
