They are here to tell us more about the PANORAMA challenge, the first AI Grand Challenge for pancreatic cancer detection. This challenge is endorsed by the MICCAI Society. Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most formidable types of cancer, with survival rates showing little improvement over the past four decades. In stark contrast to advances seen in the treatment of other types of cancer, like colon and breast cancers, pancreatic cancer continues to endure a grim prognosis and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, earning it a reputation as a hidden killer.
