4 AI Application Matthias Nießner is a Professor at the Technical University of Munich, where he leads the Visual Computing and AI Lab. He is also the co-founder of Synthesia, a startup founded in 2017 that uses AI to generate video avatars primarily for professional use. We first interviewed Matthias at CVPR 2016 in Las Vegas when he gave the famous Face2Face Putin presentation.
