GTC - The Conference for the Era of AI and the Metaverse The kind folks at NVIDIA invite us to a much-awaited online conference, where we will explore the game-changing technologies that help us take on the world’s greatest challenges. There will obviously be a keynote by their CEO and Founder Jensen Huang and a very exciting panel about the AI Journey from Academics to Entrepreneurship including Matthias Nießner of Synthesia (see page 4 of this magazine) and Raquel Urtasun of Waabi . Read More Amazon's Palm Payments Arrive in More than 65 Whole Foods Stores in California You have probably heard about the Amazon One technology, which they define as the fast, convenient, contactless identity service that uses your palm – just hover to enter, identify, and pay! Indeed, the slogan is “ Simply by being you ”. Now they start rolling out Amazon One to more than 65 Whole Foods shops in California, starting with Malibu, Montana Avenue and Santa Monica locations in Los Angeles. If you want to know how it works, you will need to ask Amazon themselves . In the meantime, some venues are not very warm about using biometric authentication as an identification tool.
