being recruited in a medical school is something that has never been done before. If you have a mathematical background, you go to a mathematical department. But math departments are not in medical school. It was quite a challenge for the dean of the medical school and the president of the Université Paris Descartes to try to reallypush towardsmultidisciplinarity. When they found a mathematician and hired me in the medical school, they put me in a department with medical doctors, and only medical doctors. I have no other theoretical mathematicians with me in my lab. That puts your job and our magazine in the same role as a “bridge”. I don’t know if that will bring you a Nobel prize, but it certainly deserves a street in Paris! Tell us something that we don’t know about her. How was it to teach her? It was easy! She’s really enthusiastic. When you ask her to come and talk about something, she comes with a big smile, wanting to interact and understand. This is perfect for a supervisor! I would like to hear about Sonio! What happened that at this point in your career, you started this newadventure? Yes! I added it to the previous tasks. Sonio was first a research project.
