It can be used for any 3D reconstruction application producing high accuracy results in short time. The simple GUI enables the user to control the stages of the reconstruction without using code. When needed, the reconstruction, matches, and key-points can be exported into a file and post process with any programming language desired. VSfM runs very fast by exploiting multicore parallelism for feature detection, feature matching, and bundle adjustment. In this article, we explain exactly how to use it and how it works. I downloaded the 6 version for Windows as can be seen in the image below: There is no need for manual installation procedure, just extract the zip file into the targ directory and it is ready to use. To open the GUI, open the file named VisualSFM.exe.
