century… thinking about things like sustainable cities, accessibility to water, and a sustainable environment. That made me think about all of the challenges that we’re going to have to face in the next few decades. I really wanted to try and bring that passion and enthusiasm that comes from entrepreneurs, but try and apply it through rapidly advancing technology to solve some of those crucial challenges. That was why I founded RE•WORK. Then, over the past few years, we’ve become more and more focused on artificial intelligence because the technology is so impactful and rapidly changing. We're now working towards how we can apply artificial intelligence to some of these challenges and explore how rapidly it’s advancing. You are having quite a lot of impact too: RE•WORK was listed one year ago among the top 100 brands in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Did that surprise you when it came out? We were honoured to be listed amongst some of those AI pioneers, some influential academics and companies that actually started the field and are really advancing the technology. What we do at RE•WORK is bring together those experts in the field. We want to pool together academics that are really advancing research, the startups that are trying to make innovations, and the larger corporates that are looking to innovate. We bring together these three different groups of people to try and push AI forward. It's great to be listed among some of those great pioneers in the field. So, yes we’re really happy. RE•WORK is a women-only company. What’s behind this special setting? We didn’t actually go about setting it up as female only. It just has evolved that way in the past few years! That doesn’t mean to say that there won’t be any men joining in the future. Because we are an all-female company at the moment, we’ve just used that opportunity to try and support women in artificial intelligence more. We also host the women in artificial intelligence dinner series to really try and support women in the field. What have you learned from these initiatives that you would like to share with our readers? I think the main thing that we’ve learned from them is that women want to be able to support other women coming into the field at the very start of their career. That’s one of the key learnings that we’ve had as feedback Computer Vision News Guest 17 Guest “ We were honoured to be listed amongst some of those AI pioneers ”
