CVPR Daily - Thursday

21 DAILY CVPR Thursday Greg Mori big shifts in the community, it’s wonderful how they happen organically. So many things about how CVPR is organized let this happen. I hope that people have enjoyed CVPR this year. If they’ve spent the time coming to Vancouver, I hope they’ve learned some technical things and were inspired by the keynotes, panels, posters, and the remarkable things happening in computer vision , but at the same time, I hope they met and engaged with people . Some people say the conference is so big, how do we handle it? I think it’s an excellent problem to have! 8,000 people wanted to be here. People will build social connections that will last for a long time. Maybe a lifetime. That’s what this conference creates. It’s a valuable thing that people don’t always appreciate enough.
