I’m Maria (or Marichka), a researcher from the ML lab at Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv and an incoming grad student at Cornell. My work is primarily focused on medical imaging and self-/semi-/supervised learning. I worked with various medical problems, including stenosis level classification in coronary arteries, segmentation of nodules in different modalities, polyps detection in endoscopy data, etc. I aspire to bring the latest advances in computer vision to real-world applications in MedTech products. ” For today, Tuesday 21 2 Maria’s Picks DAILY CVPR Tuesday AM UKRAINE CORNER “ Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to visit CVPR in person so far, but I have been participating in a virtual event since 2020 when my team got third place in the Learning from Imperfect Data challenge at CVPR. I’m always excited about such competitions and eager to learn new topics. Especially interested in the direction of unsupervised learning and how it will evolve in the upcoming years. CVPR is an excellent platform for finding new ideas and motivation for the next projects. At least, this has worked on me :) ”
