CVPR Daily - Wednesday
Jonathon says there was one trick he used that really helped and it is a great tip for anyone who is thinking about becoming a workshop organizer. When he was deciding which speakers to invite, he thought about topics rather than people. He came up with a list of topics that would fit the workshop, then listed one or two people he thought of as the best people in the world to speak on each one, before narrowing it down to the final list of eight. “When I asked them to speak, I said, I would like you to speak about this draft topic that I think our audience will be interested in,” he recalls. “They said, of course, you know my work, you know my research, this fits perfectly, I would love to give a talk on it at your workshop!” If you’d like to learn more about this topic, discover the results of the challenge, and hear from all the invited experts, we invite our readers to join the Robust Video Scene Understanding workshop on Friday. 16 DAILY CVPR Wednesday Workshop
